Windows Vista Activation Serial - Get it free

Posted by Scorpiono | Software review | Saturday 26 July 2008 12:01 pm

I was looking to activate my Vista - and I’m still on the black side of software yet, don’t flame me!

Easiest way to crack Vista Activation without a serial
WindowsSecrets(dot)com will do the trick!

I got infected, yes, me!

Posted by Scorpiono | The daily www | Saturday 26 July 2008 11:27 am
adwareIt’s not that I’m invulnerable or something, actually I had no antivirus program running at the moment, and all I wanted is download Chicken Invaders from PirateBay to play with my Girlfriend. You’d say, “clear target” - and yes you are right.

I have spent about 4 hours trying to fix this, going from forums.microsoft.com to fix Vista back - to downloading anti spyware programs (none were free!).

I did it my way, downloaded HiJackthis tool from Majorgeeks, removed the suspicious files and then removing it from the HDD as well.

Currently, I’m desinfected but I still have problems with Vista’s System Restore point keep saying that “Maximum number of secrets stored in..” and makes the restore point unavailable.

Got any tip?

I’m learning RegEx and it hurts..

Posted by Scorpiono | Website development | Friday 25 July 2008 3:39 pm

Yes it does, and it hurts so bad. I mean (.*) is any character 0 or more times, but when will it stop? (.*?) is a lazy way of any character because I think it excludes spaces, or that’s what I remember.

I’m learning RegEx guys, and I’m doing so for the manele.me project, which will be a music search engine for a very popular and commented music genre in my country.

It’s good traffic and I’m preparing for #1 position - rawr!

A few regex references:

» niflostancu - He’ll kick me in the nuts for trying this, but he’s the main coder of most of my projects, and now if he sees I’m even trying to learn this stuff, he’ll laugh and make me suffer, but he’s a good helper, he might give me a good tip when google is bored

New category: Big Fish

Posted by Scorpiono | Big fish | Wednesday 23 July 2008 6:26 pm

This is the category for our weekly Big Fish - someone with experience in a domain such as PHP, Domain names marketplace, Website broker, Big website owner - actually everything you’d call a Mogul online.

I’m creating this because I find it very inspiring for myself and others to find about other’s successes and skills, hope you embrase the same feelings, I’ll put quite alot of passion in writing this kind of posts.

.me hype - GoDaddy sucks big time!

Posted by Scorpiono | Domain names | Thursday 17 July 2008 7:21 pm

GoDaddy sucks big time - the new .me hype they created proves it!

I’ve lost web-design.me and jewelry.me because of the slow processing which makes me a bit furious about it!

I have registered several domains, from my $200 budget for the .me hype and well, I’m quite happy with them.

manele.me (registered for development)
tvshow.me (sell)
hints.me (premium sell)
web-master.me (premium sell)

Hopefully, I’ll get the results in max 3 months, registration is for 2yrs at least and costs 39$

.me hype advice: Search availability from Dynadot or domain.me - this way you can avoid the GoDaddy lag

The affiliate marketers nightmare - a Scorpiono(dot)com discovery

Posted by Scorpiono | The daily www | Wednesday 16 July 2008 5:09 pm

I’m browsing DigitalPoint like I do all day, and lately stopped from posting as much because oh well, most of the questions or remarks are the same, and it gets boring.

One minute ago, I got struck by lightning: TinyURL.com is down - posted in the “Affiliate programs” forum category. Now why would anyone post that in Affiliate programs? Bingo!

Tens of tousands of users use tinyurl.com to mask their affiliate link, be it for webhosting affiliating and make a few quick bucks to the big fishes playing with clickbank for huge amounts of money.

Imagine this, TinyURL.com dead for 24 hours!

It can be easily knocked down by a DDoS, and nowdays script kiddies with botnets can run a DDoS quite easily, and I’m afraid the damages that can be made intentioally (like above) or even by a problem on TinyURL’s side, are outrageously big!

In my attempt to add a logo with TinyURL, I can’t find one, it’s just text so whoever is behind TinyURL cares less for design more for traffic, true if you’d see his side!

Anyway mister Affiliate Marketers - pray this won’t happen otherwise you are completelly doomed!

Cybercrime groups operate like Mafia nowdays

Posted by Scorpiono | Personal, The daily www | Wednesday 16 July 2008 4:08 pm

My background simply forces me to read Security related articles for whatever reason.

cybercrime

I do not hack anymore, but believe me I know how things operate from the top-level, the level that most refer as “Boss” level in the article I’ll show you next. The truth is, there is always a bigger boss, and in order to make profits you have to stick close and make the big one happy, because without him, you can’t go any higher, you can just stick to the same level if possible.

I still get MSN messages from people saying “Hey, I know you, you are Scorpiono from BlueHell, sup man?” - and I freak out, I was one of “those” boys, never done anything big, always mediocre but well, with great influence and with big-fishes as friends. Hard to admit the mediocre thing, I think back in the hacking days my ego wouldn’t let me to.

Here goes the article I’ve found on Digg, about cybercrime - it’s quite interesting:

Wordpress 2.6 - upgraded but still wp_rss bug

Posted by Scorpiono | Website development | Tuesday 15 July 2008 3:28 pm

Wordpress 2.6 - one day after we submitted the bug to wordpress.

Dispite the fact that I like the new features, the thing that some lazy rss bug still exists makes me disappointed, I have to overwrite rss.php everytime now.
