Uniqueblogdesigns - are you freaking serious?
Sunday, September 14th, 2008
Everything started when I clicked the ad on Shoemoney’s blog and I went to the well known uniqueblogdesigns.com - they create wordpress templates, design+code, pretty nice, nothing outstanding but definetly a brand in the niche, right on the top.
UniqueBlogDesigns teaches users on their Tutorials page about:
» How to log into wordpress dashboard
You can click the link and watch the video, it’s .. the ultimate DOH! for the ultimate noobs.
Yet again..sad, because I’m pretty sure they have created the video because there are some that actually do not know how to log into wordpress.
“High quality” content writters on DigitalPoint forums
Saturday, September 13th, 2008
Today I’ve came to this hilarious post on DigitalPoint forums after watching the RSS feed on my Google Desktop (It’s the only Google product that I agree they can’t take away from me.)
DanServices joined DigitalPoint forums in August 2008, fairly new, with 27 active posts.
He’s writing in the Buy - Sell - Trade / Services category of the forum, the following:

This is so sad, I’d share a tear for my friends who buy content from DigitalPoint, I’m not going to say everyone is like this, but.. most “is”!
Part II: The new design: My premium wordpress theme
Friday, September 12th, 2008
I’m excited, it’s going out really great, inspiration came along the way. I just had to go from Photoshop to actual CSS coding and then work on the details.
Currently I’m working on the couple of PHP pages, such as functions, page, single, comments and social network bookmarking.
I’ve done up to now:
- The header
- The menu for the header
- The rss box
- The content placement
- The sidebar
I’ll put in a date for the release as I have to motivate myself to finish sooner, so it will be 19.September.2008.
You’ll see a major increase in traffic and article quality, I’m planning to pay for researches and How-to category.
Back to coding..
Drive safe

I’m deeply impressed by the video, it’s obvious they are professional video directors and it will have a good effect for those who drive. The point is sharing it.. so here I go, under my Personal category.
The biggest scientific experiment in the world: 10.September.2008 9 AM GMT+2
Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
You can watch the phenomena at: http://webcast.cern.ch/index.html
If you don’t know what it’s about, although I’ll doubt this since it’s as big as the solar eclipse, go Google for “CERN experiment” or just watch the webcast.
Manele.me > Scorpiono.com
Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
That hurt my feelings somehow, even though they are both my websites.
I just launched 1 week ago manele.me and it’s already more than Scorpiono.com for obvious reasons. No worries about that, the new blog design will be making +1000% in traffic. I guarantee!
I’m not going to show stats, I’m shy, they are both low traffic atm, but I can’t wait to release the new blog design and also increase the SEO factor for manele.me.
Cheers,
The new design: My premium wordpress theme

I’m having a problem with this, I have to blog about it to make sure I get it off my chest.
The story starts with me being a kid with a wish for perfection in everything, thus making me see something negative into most aspects of everybody else. This has to do something with the design topic, of course, and if you guessed right, I’m in a need for a professional blog design, less glossy and more effective.
I’m thinking of starting few major categories:
1. Interviews with webmasters (Success stories from webmasters, should I name it “Success stories” better? Comment on this one!)
2. How to (This is a section for begginers mostly, I’ll create articles and teach them how to start making and managing a website)
3. SEO & Marketing (This is a section for advanced members, I’ll guide articles on how to promote and how to fix your page so Google will show you some love)
4. Domain names
5. Website talk (Website flipping, website review)
Yes, I have a header right now:
The website header I’m working on right now is definetly nice, great design, web2.0, but a bit too glossy to be tasted by everybody else, I’ll show it below and tell me what you think about it.
Inside the header, I need the menu pure text for SEO purpose and I also save the yellow rectangler spot in the right for highlighting a post that I really like.
I hope this will be done until my birthday on 25th september.
Google Chrome - I don’t blog about it
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008
Sorry folks, even though several friends asked me to review the new google chrome, I won’t. I simply hate Google after the adsense incident.
You can get all the needed information here: http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/09/01/first-public-screen-captures-of-google-chrome/
Adobe AIR (Apollo)
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008
Adobe AIR, well known as Apollo, is a cross-platform framework that allows web developers to create applications in HTML,JAVA,AJAX / Flash / Flex.
It’s great, I’ll learn this new technology, actually there is nothing new to learn, you just create HTML applications that stick to the desktop.
I’m planning on making my own RSS system, this way I can have all the webmaster marketplace on a big LCD screen that just sticks as an interactive wallpaper.
To run AIR applications you need: http://get.adobe.com/air/ 12MB size.
favicon.ico issue - IE7
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008
I’ve been working on the SEO engine for the manele site. Finished most of it, and now it’s time to.. relax.. or do the detail part, which in my head was a brand new favicon.
<link rel=”shortcut icon” type=”image/ico” href=”/favicon.ico” />
I can’t see it so I post on DigitalPoint to see what fellow webmasters think..
My conclusion on this one: Caching problem! definetly, but I’ve removed the temporarily internet files. Odd yet!
Ideas?
