It looks like major web pioneers are thinking of listing their websites at SitePoint as it’s the most well known and biggest website marketplace online.

Entrecard.com - Blogosphere Ad Network 80m impressions/mo

URL: http://www.entrecard.com

Established: Tue Nov 6 2007
Uniques/Month: 85,000
Page views/month: 3,250,000
Monthly Revenue: 2000

Entrecard.com is famous for their widget, bloggers use it to increase their blog traffic. My first impression is that blogrush and entrecard have the same backbone idea so let’s take a look at their traffic:

As you can see, John Reese has his tricks to start high, create the boom, do everything he can to make it the biggest thing after Michael Jackson - I’m kid(ding)! - but the star of this article is actually Entrecard, which has a steady increasing traffic which will definetly pass on blogrush if John won’t pay attention.

Why selling, it’s a succesful business?

It all comes down to the failure of negociating with a venture company that wished to takeover and create the next-level business, investing 8M $USD.

The argument sounds understandable but selling the website reveling this conditions will definetly under-price the final result.

The key answer is here:
- There are no attachment files (what?!)
- Site Access Verified? No (what?!)

Why will anyone try to list the website on sitepoint, if it’s not his?
Comments awaited..
